A few years ago, we held an ice cream cook off with Matt's family. We had three entries, and I'm proud to say that our Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream won.
This year we added a prize to the mix....

Because of some sickness, there were only 2 entries this year. Aunt Leen made Cookies and Cream. Our flavor was Pumpkin Dessert. They were both fantastic tasting ice creams, but the Golden Scoop went to....
Aunt Leen!!
She definitely scored points by bringing waffle bowls to eat the ice cream in, doing a chocolate flavor for the kids, and using an old family ice cream base recipe that I think we are going to have to claim as our own next time, too!
