Ghost and Goblins 5K

Tuesday night we went to downtown Dayton to run in the Ghost and Goblins 5K.  All five of us ran this race and all 5 of us ran the race without stopping!!  I was a little worried about bad attitudes coming from Kinslee and Braden, but we prayed for good attitudes and our prayer was answered!  I'm especially proud of Braden and Kinslee since they are not used to running. What kept the kids going was free Domino's pizza, cookies, bananas and pop for all the runners after the race was done. Yum...that pizza tasted so good!

Braden and Kinslee are very opposite runners.  Braden thought he was going to collapse at about Mile 1.  We had to keep coaxing him along, but at Mile 2 marker, he knew he was almost done and looked like one determined little man!  Kinslee was happy and bouncy the whole way until we reached about 2.75 miles.  Then she started telling Matt she wasn't going to make it! Thankfully we could see the finish line at that point and she did in fact make it through, finishing 5 out of 17 in her division. Go Kins!!  Maddie did great as always...she definitely could have run faster, but stayed with us and was a huge encouragement to Braden and Kinslee.
We got there a little early, so we stayed warm in our car for a bit.

This was a fun run. There were lots of people dressed up and they were giving prizes for costumes.  We're already thinking of ideas of what we can dress up as next year.

Braden asked this morning when the next time he could run was...we may have him hooked:)
