Last week we traveled with Matt to Philadelphia. Although common sense would say to take advantage of this trip to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, we just took it easy and had a relaxing time in the midst of a very busy season! In fact, the only time I got out my camera was to take a picture of the kids at a lovely hotel we stayed at in PA on the way there and the way back.
We were staying right next to the campus of UPenn and the bookstore was right next door to our hotel. We took advantage of the college "learning" atmosphere and did our school work in the bookstore which was complete with a Starbucks. It was great change of pace!
Thursday night we ate out at a Chinese restaurant with Matt's coworkers. We had about a 2 1/2 hour 7 course meal. The kids were troopers at trying lots of different foods and were for the most part patient while waiting. Many of the guys passed down their cell phones so the kids could play Angry Birds and such while they were waiting.
I'm so thankful we can travel at times with Matt...cleaning service and not having to cook for a week are wonderful and refreshing things!
