The Beach

On Sunday and Monday while Matt was working, we spent time at the beach.  Sunday was supposed to be cloudy and cooler, so I didn't take stuff to spend a long while in the sand. We packed a picnic lunch and hoped that we wouldn't get rained on.  By the time we were done with lunch, it was sunny and warm! The kids spent a couple of hours playing on the edge of the water.

On Monday, we went back to the beach, fully prepared to spend the afternoon in the sun.  Wouldn't you guess that this day turned out to be cloudy and cool. The kids still had fun though and found a horseshoe  crab and a big black snake!

It was a great vacation (although Matt did have to work several days...poor guy...I get my "vacation fix" and he still has the stress of work!).  Back to normal schedule Wednesday morning was a bit of a shocker to me and it took most of the morning for me to get used to the fact that we were home.  The realities of not having a maid and cook are hitting hard!

We are excited about school almost being done.  About 2 more weeks!
