One of the highlights scheduled for this trip was Legoland. Braden is a Lego-lover and has been dreaming and saving free Legoland child tickets for years now. Awhile back, we were thinking of planning a trip to CA when we learned that Orlando was getting a Legoland. Matt's business trip was the perfect time to check out this new park!
All in all, it was a good park. The kids liked the rides, the statues were amazing, and there were rooms of Legos that you could build in to your heart's content. It was much more of a "normal" theme park unlike the Magic Kingdom, which is just, well...."magical". Although I'm sure someone has had a bad experience, in our two visits,we've never come across a rude worker at Magic Kingdom. Workers are friendly and very accommodating. Legoland had more of a King's Island feel, with many workers seeming like they didn't really want to be there. I don't think we would have thought much of it if we hadn't done Magic Kingdom the day before!
All that said, we still had a great time and the park was empty. We walked on rides and ended up riding a few of the bigger coasters twice in a row without getting off. It was hard to choose which pics to put up, but here are a few!
This was a silly little jousting ride, but the kids had so much fun on it!
The Lego statues are amazing!
A whole section on Star Wars...Matt and Braden were thrilled!
An entire room full of Hero Factory Legos=Braden's heaven!
Even Legoland has characters walking around to get your picture with.
Building a race car. Kinslee's car won the race, but she did have Matt's help!
The best part of the day was seeing Braden's excitement. It was definitely priceless!
