We picked up the kids from camp today. It is odd not to talk to them for 5 days. We've left them for longer, but have always been able to talk to them each day. It helps knowing Stacey & Craig are there if they need anything though!
They had a blast, made new friends, and we have heard story after story since 9am this morning. They loved their chapel speakers and have shared some things that they've learned.
This was Braden's first year at Skyview. He loved it, although he ended up being sick Thursday and Friday. Thankfully they drugged him up and kept him moving along anyway. The only activity he didn't enjoy was the shaving cream fight, which was on Friday. That probably party had to do with the fact that he had a fever.
This was Maddie's first year at junior high camp. She had some things she was nervous about, but loved it, and I know I'll hear more about as we get back to our running talks this week.
The new pool!! They loved it!
Braden informed me that he is AWESOME at carpet ball. Supposedly he beat all kinds of people at this game.
Braden has a hard time hitting the target when he uses his bow. We're not sure if he should be using his right or left arm to shoot. This causes him much frustration! He told the story about how he didn't do that great at shooting, and on the last arrow, decided to give up trying and just shoot. He got a bulls-eye! He was so proud!
Horseback riding. Kinslee got to do this, too. She loved it, which didn't surprise me since she's my nature girl!
Maddie got to go white water rafting. Maybe not quite "white-water", but anyway, she had a blast!
Cousins!!!
Maddie also got to do the zipline! This is them helping someone...unfortunately there were no pictures of Maddie ziplining. Supposedly the speaker challenged her to be the first one to go backwards, so she did!
I'm thankful for this week that they had to go learn and grow. And I'm thankful that our family is back together again.
