A couple of weeks ago, we enjoyed our yearly trek to Oscoda, Michigan. We're always worried that it is going to be freezing, but we ended up with 3 beautifully perfect days this year. And the two that were cold, we huddled around the fire, so that isn't half bad, either. The cousins are getting so big, but still have so much fun together!
The girls are getting too old to spend too much time in the freezing cold lake. The spent a lot of their time laying on blankets reading. One of our new activities this year was a floating lantern. There is a bit of a fear that it would land on a house and burn it down, but we launched it anyway. It went really high and farther than we could see!
We missed Steve, Katie, Bella and Evelyn (and little boy cousin!!!) this year, but here's the gang:
The boys playing in wet sand. Yuck.
This is a rare picture....of the boys....with their arms around each other. This warranted getting off my rear end and walking across the sand to snap the picture.
Kinslee and Kelem spent much of their week doing jumps off the cement patio. Kinslee really seemed to connect with Kelem this year. Not that they haven't other years, but after two weeks of Kelem time, she really misses her and talks about her all the time!

The vacation was refreshing, as always!
