Washington DC

We've been enjoying our week with Matt in DC. It hasn't been an intense work week for him, which has made it a nice trip for us! We stayed in Alexandria, VA, for the first few days. Old Town Alexandria is a beautiful place to walk around. There's lots of little shops, open air cafés and of course the beautiful Potomac.

The first evening we walked the town, the. The next night went back for dinner. Our tradition for Matt's work trip is to scope out the best fish and chips. It has to be battered and beer battered is the best. We found a restaurant called Fish Market and got our wish. The kids tried hush puppies for the first time. Maddie liked them, but Braden and Kins didn't. Our fish was delicious and the service was excellent. We walked the town a bit more but had to end our evening early since a bad storm was coming in.

We did get to see a glass musician. When we were on our cruise, the kids tried this each night, so they were amazed at the talent!
I love Matt's goofy face!
