Pheasant Hunting

A few weeks ago, Braden got to go on a youth pheasant hunt. He had so much fun, of course, and was able to shoot his first pheasant! We were scared to death he was going to accidentally shoot one of the hunting dogs, but thankfully God answered our prayers and protected those dogs! 

Braden's story is that he threw the shot pheasant in the trunk of the car, but when they opened the trunk back up, the pheasant was running around the trunk. Evidently he didn't kill it thoroughly. I don't ask took many questions about who and how they did the bird in. But they put it out of its misery.

So now we have duck and pheasant in our freezer. I guess I'm supposed to cook it. Or I'll just wait til Matt has a day off and he can do something with it. Don't be expecting wild game recipes on Lizzy T's any time soon!
