Seabrook Island

At the end of April, Matt took me on a last-minute-for-us trip to Seabrook Island, SC.  This was our first time to that area, but we can definitely say it won't be our last. I loved everything about it! I'd love to take the kids back sometime.

The first day we went to Cypress Gardens and saw pretty wildlife. When there are no kids to take pictures of, you take pictures of animals!

At that point, there weren't too many flowers blooming at home, so seeing azaleas and flowering trees in full bloom was a breath of fresh air!

This was what our condo looked out to. This was an older condo that they had fixed up perfectly. It was beautifully decorated and spotless. I don't know how they get a house that clean! We opted for this condo with a view of a marina over "beach front" that looked out to a parking lot with a beach in the background.  It was a good choice. So peaceful!

On Saturday we walked around Charleston. We had a few hours before the rain set in. It was a quick walk-through of the city, but the city is beautiful. We found a delicious bakery (always a must on our travels!) and a yummy pub (another must!).

That evening we headed to see the ocean. It was just a 10 minute drive through a gorgeous private island with amazing houses. See that yellow house there? I want it.

With our condo rental, we got access to the beach club on the island. This pool was right in front of the beach. It reminded us of Cancun. So, so pretty!

Sunday ended up being 88 and sunny, so we spent most of our time in these chairs, looking out to the beach.

This is the Angel Oak tree which is about 1500 years old. It's huge!
There was a crazy amount of jellyfish, which gave me no desire to get in the ocean. They are nasty looking!

This is just a sample of the houses that you drive past on the way to the beach. There were lots of lagoons with houses around them. Each house was different. And there were so many trees! Just a gorgeous island.
We only had 2 full days and there was so much you could do to explore. Definitely on our to-do-again list!
