We surprise our kids with everything. Ok...that didn't sound right. We don't surprise them with everything, but rather we take every opportunity to make our activities a surprise. Whether it is a visit from grandma or grandpa, the cousins, a package in the mail, or a trip to the donut shop, they love getting, and we love giving surprises!
This past Friday, we surprised Maddie and Kinslee with special dinner guests. They became close to a family that was coming to our church last year who has since moved on back to their original church. Maddie and Kinslee love these 4 girls and have kept in touch by writing and calling each other, but it had been almost a year since they'd seen each other. I set up family dinner plans with their mom and didn't tell the girls who was coming over. Although Maddie pretty much had it figured out, they were still so excited to get to spend an evening with their friends!
